We’re Here

Just a reminder, we are still working on our website. We have a lot of exciting plans for this years Drag Show season, and other ideas and activities in the works. It’s already about that time to start talking about Pride Fest 2009… yes, we know it seems like Pride Fest just ended… but it takes a lot of man/woman hours to put together an event of that scale. Thanks to all of our volunteers that helped last year!

Check back soon, as our website will start populating content and multimedia.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

The site looks great! I can’t wait to hear more about PrideFest 2009. It’s always nice to see that there are other gay people on this side of the state.
Minot seems to be the last of the larger cities in ND to have any sort of gay community at all. Maybe some of whats happening in Bismarck will find its way here. Hopefully sooner than later. It would be nice to have some gay friends here before Im too old to enjoy their company.
Anyway…congrats on a good looking site.

The Drag Shows are good, but how about organizing a gender blender ball this winter. That would be a fun time.

  6. Hi all you wonderful posters to Dakota Outright! I’m going a little crazy sewing, practicing holiday tunes on the organ, and making posters. Just wanted to say hello and tell you all that I’m so excited about our Dakota Divas Holiday Drag Show “Prancing Through The Snow”! Mark you calendars for Dec. 13th. The show is at the Civic Center Exhibition Hall. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and I’ll be playing the organ from 8 p.m. until showtime. As far as I know, we will be having the traditional dancing after the show, so there’s your gender blender ball, Jenney! Please also stop by my page at: http://www.myspace.com/gimme_pillsen_licher for all the latest information. Be sure and buy those tickets online right here at http://www.dakotaoutright.org so that you can pick up your tickets at Will Call, AND be seated in the exclusive VIP section. I look forward to seeing you, your friends, your parents, and EVERYONE ELSE at the show! Hugs from Pills!

Hi jbaby, Glad you asked! ND Capital Pride Fest 2009 is held at Eagles Park in Bismarck, July 23-26. It is a four-day camp-out, and is great fun with activities for all. Pride Fest normally includes a DJ dance on Thursday night, a drag show on Friday night with a dance to follow, Saturday starts with a dog show, pride awards and a band on Saturday night, and ends with a multi-faith worship service and volunteer luncheon on Sunday. There is also a family friendly area with activities for children, local singers, and booths with crafts, information, education, and food. Please stay tuned to the website for future information about volunteer opportunities and news about this year’s new Mr/Ms/Miss/Mister Pride Fest 09.
