In order to make organizing all the various drag shows across the state a bit easier, I have a specific email address for performers to use to be part of the various shows: DakotaDivas@hotmail.com

What I need performers to include in their email: Real and Stage names, contact phone number, and their songs in their preferred order.  The subject line should have the show location (city) and show date, so that they can be easily sorted (i.e., Bismarck Dec 12)  Also, if performers have any major makeup or costuming changes that will affect the order of their songs, they should let me know that too, otherwise I reserve the right to rearrange songs to help the show flow better. Nothing worse than ending a show with 5 ballads in a row…*snore*  lol

As far as holiday music in the show is concerned, I think it’s good to have some holiday music, but by all means we should have other kinds of music as well…a whole show of Xmas music would make me shove my head in the oven, but we certainly can’t call it a holiday show and only have one or two holiday themed songs…I would say a good mix would be about half and half…that way there is a variety but with a definite holiday bent.

If there is anything else, let me know…if anyone talks to performers that want to perform, give them the email and info I put in this message (or if someone else is going to take care of it, that is fine too, just let me know one way or another)…if I’m going to be putting the list together, they need to let me know that they are interested by MONDAY NIGHT before the show, December 8.  Not only will I be getting ready for graduation the next weekend, but I have a show in Moorhead at the I-Beam the night before the Bismarck show, so procrastinators beware, I will be generally unsympathetic! ;)

Hope all is well for everyone and keep me updated!

    Janessa
