Pride on the Capital Lawn is truly a family (of any kind) activity. We’ll have face painting, as well as games and activities for kids. Bring a blanket for the lawn or enjoy your food truck fare in our seating area.

    AARP is inclusive in its policies, programs, and advocacy positions. In the guiding words of our founder, “What we do, we do for all.” As part of the AARP family here in North Dakota, take part in our educational programs; fun, free events, advocacy efforts; and volunteer opportunities in our community.

  • Bismarck Backyard Club
    The Bismarck Backyard Club (BBYC) is a local activist group intent on making North Dakota a better place. The BBYC is progressive and action-oriented. If you’re tired of engaging in activism through social media only and are ready for face-to-face collaboration, the BBYC may be for you. We’re age-diverse, we’re gender-diverse, and we make decisions through building consensus. So far, we have addressed issues such as healthcare inequities, economic inequality, gender issues, and good governance. We support ballot measures and candidates that reflect our values and strongly oppose candidates who do not. We partner with North Dakotan organizations that support our goal to make North Dakota a great home for all people.

    Bismarck Downtown Artist Cooperative is an art gallery and working studio space operated by and for local artists. BDAC gives artists at various stages of their careers exhibition space as well as opportunities to show artwork in special themed exhibits.

  • Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library
    The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library provides personal enrichment opportunities and lifelong learning for Bismarck and Burleigh County residents of all ages, offering materials and resources with access to over 560,000 items, including books, audio books, DVDs, and music CDs. This year, we’ve invited an anti-ageism activist, a doctor, a historian on America’s healthcare system, and a mortician to explore what it truly means to be human.     North Dakotans for Public Integrity (NDPI) is sponsoring the North Dakota Anti-Corruption Act, an initiated measure for the November 2018 election. NDPI is a non-profit organization to educate and inform North Dakotans about the importance of integrity and public accountability in government and to increase integrity and public accountability in public officials.

Youthworks’ focus and expertise is working with homeless, runaway, trafficked and at-risk teens as well as parents and young adults under 22.
