Community Outreach

Dakota OutRight does a variety of community outreach, training, and partnership building to find ways to improve the resources and services available for the LGBTQ community. Information in this section details projects we are working on, including:

  • DOR Proudly Serving: This project rallies LGBTQ and allied communities to volunteer together on service projects in Bismarck-Mandan and the surrounding region. Subscribe to our Facebook events to stay in the know on volunteer opportunities!
  • DOR Creating Safe Spaces: This PFund-supported project will create more resources and training for educators, professionals, and others who work with youth to improve their access to support and resources.
  • Training/Presentations: We offer a variety of training/presentations on topics like understanding LGBTQ issues, improving clinical capacity to serve LGBTQ people, and how to provide better care for the trans* community. We also welcome members of the LGBTQ community to contribute their experiences and expertise to our training content. Contact us for more information.

If you’re interested in partnering in any way, please reach out to us. Email our President, Karla Buzick, at president@dakotaoutright.org.
