Creating Safe Spaces

CSS Logo: This is a safe space; I pledge to listen, learn, connect.Creating Safe Spaces is a training program and resource toolkit designed by Dakota OutRight to help educators, counselors, social workers, and other youth-serving professionals obtain access to the information, resources, and tools needed to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth in their schools and communities.

The training is free, and is organized into three parts: LGBTQIA 101 and Allyship, Supporting Youth Coming Out, and Shaping Inclusive Organizations. Creating Safe Spaces training attendees will receive our Creating Safe Spaces toolkit that includes a resource manual and brochures to keep.

  • Dickinson: Saturday, January 27, Dickinson Public Library, 11:00AM-3:00PM
  • Jamestown: Saturday, February 10, Jamestown Public Library, 11:30AM-3:30PM
  • Devils Lake: Saturday, March 24, Lake Region Public Library, 11:00AM-3:00PM
  • Williston: Saturday, April 21, Williston Community Library, 1:00PM-5:00PM
