For those of you who are familiar with these Minot events they are loads of fun. Keep in mind, this is NOT a Dakota Outright sponsored event but it would be fun for those who want to make the trip north. The Event “White Hot” will be held Saturday, March 31st at the Carousel Pub under the North Dakota State Fair Grandstand. Everyone is encouraged to wear white though it is not required for admittance. Event times are from 9:00pm to 1:00am and admission is $10.00. This event is restricted to ages 18 and up and ID will be required for admittance.

We are proud to extend an invitation to you and your family to join us at our biggest attraction this year!  A free and open to the public, family and community oriented event will be held in Bismarck’s Custer Park on Saturday, July 30th from 11AM to 5PM.  Great children’s games and crafts along with entertainment and vendors will be provided!  Many in our community have been impacted by recent flooding or economic issues or know someone who has been, so we will be taking a collection of non-perishable goods at the park as well.  FREE STD testing will also be provided on site!

To kick it all off, a special Dakota Divas Drag Show will be held on Friday, July 29th at the Seven Seas, located at 2611 Old Red Trail, (I-94, exit 152) in Mandan.  The doors will open at 7:30PM and the show will start at 8:30PM.  A cash bar will be available. Admission is $10 (cash only).  You must be 18 years old or older to attend and photo ID is required.

I just wanted to pass this along for you all to put the Creating Change Conference on your radar.  It will be hosted in Minneapolis this upcoming February and is an excellent opportunity to connect with pro-LGBT advocacy groups, community centers, activists, and national leaders.  Anyone involved with education, public policy, non-profit organizations, faith organizations will benefit from attending.  I had the opportunity to attend a couple years ago and found the conference invaluable.
 
 
It would be great to have a good size contingency in attendance from the Fargo-Moorhead area and throughout North Dakota.
